The events of this week are numerous. Between the killings in Virginia at Virginia Tech and our own troubles with Jacob, I am worn out and it’s only Thursday! Tonight we go see Jake’s counselor again. We haven’t been there in a year and now we need help to turn this boy around. I know the Lord is at work but we need an extra oomph! as well. We are trying everything we can to help him. We continue to talk to both boys about puberty and changing bodies. They are getting it. Jake saw a maturation video in school and that brought up a lot of questions. We are doing our best to answer them. His main issue is how to handle his anger and solve problems. He doesn’t have the skills to solve personal problems and we don’t have the tools as parents to teach him. We are trying out the Total Transformation program to see if it helps us gain those tools. So far it seems to be a balanced program. It’s basis is just about Biblical without saying so. I think that is good.
Anyway, I miss my granddaughter and daughter. I want to see them soon. I might try and go out and have lunch with them next week or the week after. Hopefully they will send me a new picture or two soon! I will post them when I get some.
