A better day for me

but not for Phil. He fell and hurt his knee at work this morning. Our doctor no longer sees patients with workman’s comp injuries so we have to wait until Monday for another place. He has swelling all around the left knee and his leg is stiffening up on him. Not so good.

I actually left the house today and did some food shopping. I also picked up the replacement drum case for Caleb. Let’s see if this one holds up past one day of use. The first one we bought broke the first day. Hopefully this is a bit more sturdier.

I cooked dinner and it was good. But I think I am done with dairy unless it’s in baked goods. I just can’t digest it any longer. Plus I get sinus troubles. Oh well. Done for today.

Same song, second verse….

A little bit louder, a little bit worse. The mood swings are back and are rearing their ugly heads. Life is not fun. Life is rotten right now. Up and down. In and out. Not liking the situations I am in right now.

I realized a few weeks ago that I horribly dislike Phil’s shift and it’s wreaking havoc on the family, especially me. It’s like I have moved forward one step and back five! So I sit here, night after night, wanting to throw my Christmas tree out the back door, ornaments-lights-and all! I am sick of the holidays and what it is supposed to be like. I want my husband to be “present” when he is here, not in the fibro-fog that consummes his body and mind most of the time. I am tired to trying to be strong.

When I start to get those feelings of “I just want to run away” I know it’s bad. There is little I can do to turn the tide, I just have to ride it out. I do need to meet with a friend or something and talk. That would help. But who? Again, it’s the holidays and everyone is probably with family. But I will try to call someone.

On a happier note, I have a few pictures from Christmas with Brit and her family. Over and out.5-kids-2008

Getting the babies to be still was like herding cats. It didn’t work out well.

Being sick…

Well I have been sick now for almost a week. First the whole nasty post-nasal waterfall, then the runny nose and sneezing, aches, chills, sleeping constantly….oh and let’s not forget the running to the potty all night. Now, I have lost my voice. I think it’s laryngitis. This just plain stinks. At least I can type. I have been communicating with my girls via IM today. I can barely whisper and it hurts. I’ll be back next week with a menu plan and pictures. Right now, I am tired, just from showering. Blah!

Thanksgiving pictures

We had a great time, lots of noise and people. The best part was having all my kids together and the babies here as well. Here we go.

Elizabeth is checking out the tree and ornaments. She moved a few around.

What? You didn’t think we would actually let a 3 month old hold a turkey drumstick, did you?

And because she is the first and so cute, one more of Elizabeth and her “hair”!

I have more but need to get them from Lauren. Elizabeth was playing Peek-A-Boo with Isaiah when he was nursing and Lauren was using her nursing apron. It was hilarious.
